PONTIFICATING OVER THE APOSTLE PAUL

I believe every “true” Christian including myself have some characteristics of the Apostle Paul. One characteristic that comes to mind is ‘prayerful.” We can gather from Paul’s writings that he was a praying man and that prayer was paramount in his life. As it stands, prayer is essential in every Christion’s life. When reading Paul’s epistles, it is evident that …

Abortion vs. Christianity: The War on Women and the Alpha Male

To understand the recent resurgence of the alpha male in America we must first acknowledge “the war on women.” The two matters are intricately connected. War is a state of armed conflict between at least two groups. In this case, women and alpha males represent those in conflict. Ever since the beginning of the world at least one of the …

Before we get ahead of ourselves lets talk about what the bible says about showing “favoritism.” Nepotism is showing favoritism no matter how you spin it. Christians Just Don’t Understand

Evidently, contemporary Christians just do not understand that if they do not love one another they risk God’s divine reprimand…. Professing to love Jesus, wishing harm on or mistreating another is hypocrisy, which God detest. The Contemporary Church is Being Dishonest When it Claims to be Following Apostle Paul

On more than one occasion I have had a conversation with at least two preachers about today’s trend of churches paying guest preachers. What God Promises to Those Who Weather the Storm

What Speaks to Me Today……

2 Thessalonians 2:13-17
13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. 16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

Each time I read 2 Thessalonians I learn something new, and gain deeper clarity concerning the Lord’s will for us. The letter of 2 Thessalonians reveals many promises of God. The promises seem to have two-fold purposes. First, they tell us what God has in store for believer’s and non-believers. Second, God’s promises instill hope in His children by giving them something to look forward to and wait for.
Paul, Silas, and Timothy were appreciative of the opportunity God gave them to teach, spread, and bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They also understood that the people had been already chosen by God for restoration. Paul knows the journey will not be easy but is possible if believers stand firm and hold fast to the biblical knowledge that he, Silas and Timothy taught them. Furthermore, Paul encouraged God’s people to persevere while maintaining unshakeable faith. Perseverance translates to reaping what comes along both good and bad while believing bad things will get better. Having faith means “trusting in something you cannot prove.”
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1.
Promises of God found in 2 Thessalonians

In Paul’s, Silas and Timothy’s letter of 2 Thessalonians, several promises made by God are unveiled. Basically, in 2 Thessalonians, Paul reveals a list of rewards God promises to all Christians who weather the storm. The Father promises a reward to those who suffer in His name. The storm symbolizes “persecution.” The promise of reward includes the annihilation of the persecutors. Paul also tells God people that he and others boast about the congregations of God and their endurance and trust amid all they are going through. In short, Paul assured the congregation that their suffering will not go unnoticed, and would render just judgment of God, as well as deem every sufferer to be worthy of the Kingdom of God. Another promise, “those afflicting God’s people would endure affliction as payback.”

Every Christian would be wise to search the scriptures as well as the heart while there is still time….

VIDEO: VOTER’S RIGHT ACT IS UNDER ATTACK

bloody_sunday-officers_await_demonstrators

VOTE BLUE or Donald Trump WILL screw you!

Perhaps, you don’t know that sane people are in the fight of their life? While I do not think Donald Trump will win the Presidential election Tuesday, the fact that he rose to this level of approval should at the very least alarm people. By all accounts a large part of America is sleeping with the enemy. The enemy I speak of is Satan and the messenger Satan sent to destroy America may very well be Donald Trump. In 1965 President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Voter’s Right act into law. In case you don’t know what it is or why there was a need for the act let me enlighten you. The 1965 Voter’s Right act was designed to enforce voting rights for people of color, which had already been guaranteed by the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments to The United States Constitution. The Act secured Voting Rights for people of color, particularily in the “dirty south.” In other words, “White people were ignoring the Fourteenth and Fifteen Amendments because they did not believe African-Americans had a right to vote.”
So, here we are, about 50 years later beating that same old drum. Armed White Supremacists, KKK and other hate-groups that have been legalized in America are showing up at polling places to intimidate and intefere with not only minority voter’s rights but with any Hillary Clinton supporter as well. These are the kind of people some Evangelicals support as a result of publically pledging and endorsing Donald Trump. My heart is sad.

However, while I am not impressed by Evangelicals support of Donald Trump, I am not surprised either because the bible tells us that there will be false prophets, hypocrites and resistance to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. However, since Republicans have been falsely calling President Obama the anti-Christ for 8 years now but turn around and appoint a man like Donald Trump as their Standard Bearer, even though Trump presents like a true anti-Christ is troubling.

Why was the bar set so high for President Obama to become POTUS yet set so low for Donald Trump that a midget could reach it? What kind of Christian endorses a man who blatantly outsources hate, bigotry, and disregard for people less fortunate than him? Not one! And, my God! Since when would it not matter if a potential Chief and Commander was accused of “child rape?” Apparently, only if he is……you fill in the blank.

Trick question:
Do you think “Evangelicals” would have supported President Obama if he had a track record and morals like Doald Trump?

This is no joking matter. We cannot allow the GOP, Republicans and right-wing extremists to cloud our judgment with rhetorical innuendo about Hillary Clinton’s alleged dishonesty. Even if the claims was true, why should we be more bothered about Hillary’s dishonesty than we are about the dishonesty of other “White privileged males” who have corrupted government to the point of dysfunction?

I am at a point in my life where I refuse to be silenced when the need for voices in support of the underdog are at an all time high. Being a Christian means you believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ so much that you live it. Refusing to acknowledge wrong or support that which is clearly against anything “Godly” is not only hypocritical but it is abominable.
